DIY Juice Cleanse without Juicer
Prepare Your Produce
Ensure you remove and pits or rinds from the produce – we do not want bitter flavors in our juice (yuck!).
Feel free to leave the skin on most other produce including beets, carrots, and apples, as long as you’re sure you got all the dirt off. These are often loaded with nutrients!
The second is to blend.
Simply load your ingredients into the blender. To optimize blending, ensure the juicer produce gets in first, like cucumbers, watermelon, and citrus, followed by greens and tougher vegetables.
Then begin blending!
Because mist juices requires tougher produce like kale, carrot, and beets, you might want to use a high powered blender —like our favorite. If your mixture is very thick, you can add water or lemon juice, or give it a stir to help it along.
As soon as the ingredients are blended, it should look more like a watery smoothie than juice. But do not fear, you won’t be drinking all of that pulp!
Simply pour the mixture over a mesh strainer set on top of a bowl to strain the liquid. Some of the juice will drip through on its own.
Additionally, you should press the pulp down with a spatula to make sure you get every last drop.
Enjoy Your juice
Now that the hard part is complete, it’s time to enjoy your labor of love. You can compost the pulp, save it for recipes like vegetable stock, or mix it in with cream cheese for a fun spread.
Reasons Why I Make Cold Pressed Juice Without A Juicer
It’s almost Impossible to get the amount of veggies required by most experts (6-8 servings) in a typical day.
I don’t know about you, but when I wake up, I do not crave a big bowl of broccoli or collard greens. It’s rare to see Americans eating veggies for breakfast, and at lunch it could be as small as a apiece of tomato and lettuce on a sandwich, leaving very little room in the day to get that 6-8 servings.
It takes a couple of vegetable pounds to arrive at a 12-ounce glass of juice – which gives you the whole day’s worth of servings in 1 glass.
Plus, juicing allows you to get a wide range of vegetables you would probably not otherwise consume in your diet, giving your body the much needed minerals and vitamins it needs to repair damaged cells, prevent disease, and keep you looking and feeling younger.
Drinking juice Provides you with tons of energy.
It is easier for your body to absorb all the nutrients when juice is separated from the fiber of vegetables and fruits, giving you an instant boost of energy.
Eating lots of enzymes, minerals, and vitamins in juice is like drinking a natural version Red Bull. There’s nothing wrong with a little organic coffee, but my daily habit was rid of after I started having fresh juice daily. I just didn’t need it anymore to feel awake and alive.
Our soil is depleted.
The frequent use of pesticides, conventional farming practices, and genetically modified seeds has depleted many minerals and vitamins from our soil.
Eating a piece of broccoli now vs. 20 years ago does not yield the same amount of nutrition. It’s important that we try to overcompensate this fact by consuming as many whole plant foods as possible.
Juicing allows you to get the extra nutrients you need much more efficiently than trying to chew veggies all day.
When I began drinking carrot juice, my eye lashes immediately started to grow longer within just a couple of weeks.
Feeling the hype energy is one thing, but seeing the results in the mirror can be quite dramatic and make you a firm believer of the powers of drinking juice.
Please spread the word, let’s get everyone juicing!
