The diet claims to cleanse and detoxify your system by drinking nutritious juices and foregoing whole food.
If you plan to test the Jason Vale programme – 7 days Super Juice diet – preparation is the key. so you can both mentally, and physically prepare for what you are about to put your body through.
7LBS in 7 Days Super Juice Diet -Day Cleanse Juice Diary
– 5 juices a day (morning, mid-morning, lunch, early dinner, and late dinner).
– Morning intake of hot water with lemon before juice).
– Morning, afternoon and early evening exercises (from 20-40min per session).
– Minimum requirement of 8-hours sleep.
Optional: Hot water fennel/mint or hot apple juice w/cinnamon (evening, after juice).
– A juicer; I used Philips Juice Maker which I highly recommend!). It’s easy to clean and not too messy.
– A decent knife, peeler (for lime), chopping board, peeler (and strainer (to wash your fruits and vegetables.
– 2-3 flasks (if you’re planning on bringing them on-the-go) – I use Sigg bottles.
This is not a diet with calorie and meal plans targets; it’s a cleansing program based on a juice fast. You should not eat solid foods while on this diet.
Vale’s 7 pounds in 7 days super juice diet website claims that you can lose up to seven pounds in 7 days when you drink the juices that he provides in his plan.
Plus, he also recommends that you participate in exercise to boost your weight loss.
Vale’s juice recipes comprises of common vegetables, spices, herbs, and fruits. He also offers recipers for herbal teas that you make and consume to boost your digestion.
Vales 7lbs in 7 days super juice diet plan guide claims to use a mix of certain formulas to effectively replace each of your meals and snacks during your cleansing fast.
Your recipe choices differ based on the meal that you are replacing with juice. Every day of the program, you consume Jason vale juice diet made with wheatgrass, fruit, vegetables, and spirulina.
Other veggies and fruits blends with names like “Super Detox Juice” “Boost Juice,” and “Lemon-Ginger Zinger” appear in your juice menu choices.
Almost all of the juice recipes contain apples, and some sprouts, wheatgrass, yogurt or acidophilus bacteria.
The calorie intake from the juice recipes provided is far lesser than what you would ordinarily consume in a normal daily adult diet and could leave you feeling nutritionally deficient and deprived.
It might be possible to get a good amount of minerals and vitamins while you are on this program, but, the juice recipes fail to provide an adequate intake of protein, fiber and essential fatty acids.
Safe weight loss helps you lose from 1-2 pounds per week. Even though you are only consuming liquids on this plan, most of the weight that you will lose is from water, not fat.
The weight loss lasts only for a while – once you resume your normal calorie intake, the weight that you lost is likely to return.
I am not overweight; I simply want to look fit and healthy. I did however want to shed some pounds for an upcoming holiday (in-line with a healthy exercise plan to tone up).
My final weight loss figure: 3.8kg / 8lb 6. Please note a lot of this was water weight.
The Turbo Charge Plan (also by Jason Vale) of the cleansing process, for the next 21 days. This is made up of a diet of juice (often for breakfast), salad or juice for lunch, and a nice light dinner (i.e fish, brown rice, quinoa) for dinner.
So a lot of lean protein, good carbs (sweet potato, dark rye, brown/wholegrain rice, etc.) and good fat (avocado, live yoghurt) So in plain, just simple and healthy living – pretty easy after a week of just juices!
